How to install HandicapMaster Network Edition
These notes assume that the HandicapMaster Network edition has already been installed on the Server,
using these instructions: Install SQL Server
Express and HandicapMaster onto the 'Server' PC.
Installation on each client PC
Install HandicapMaster
- Download the HandicapMaster Network
edition for Client PC's installer program.
You may wish to download this installer to a shared folder on the server, so that you can access it from each Client PC as you install HandicapMaster to each client PC. - Run the installer. You may be prompted by Windows User Account Control (UAC) 'Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?'You need to select Yes to start the installation.
- Enter the name of your Server computer (i.e. where you have installed the HandicapMaster Server installation), at the applicable box and click OK.
Run HandicapMaster
Check that HandicapMaster connects to the database on the server OK.
If you have a firewall on the client PC you may need to configure it to allow you to communicate with
the PC where the SQL server is located. Please discuss this with your firewall administrator.
