Update 13.0.22 - 29 October 2024 - Update Package 1522

• NEW - Subscriptions Option; A new menu item 'Adjust Expiry Date' is added, see Accounting menu select Subscriptions. This option allows a user to amend the Subscription Expiry date of one or more members, where subscriptions have been raised using a template where the start date was not correctly set, perhaps at start of a new financial year, and the subscriptions have been paid.
• AMEND - Open Bookings configuration settings for collecting visitor data are now defaulted to being un-selected when accessing the settings for the first time, to be consistent with Master Scoreboard.
• AMEND - Publish to BRS Online Tee Booking; Migrate to FTPS service (replacing FTP service) that will be mandatory from 1st December 2024, when publishing membership date to BRS.
• AMEND - Register New Members on Scottish Golf CDH; When a window is displayed to map a membership category to a Scottish Golf Affiliation Category, the first Affiliation Category in the list is now pre-selected.
• FIX - Apply Scores; If a database connection was lost at the very point that the scores were being committed to the 'Closed Competitions' list, the competition could be lost from both the 'Opened Competitions' and 'Closed Competitions' list.
• FIX - Course Scorecard Update; When the Tee Colour name for a set of Tees was renamed on the WHS server, and the change was downloaded from the WHS server, the rename did not filter through to all of the past competitions in HandicapMaster, causing problems viewing past competition scorecards, and more (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Enter Scores; It was possible to display the list of potential competition entrants in HandicapMaster and, when a score was entered for a player through another computer or online, select this player from the list and proceed to enter a second score for the player, in error.
• FIX - Subscriptions Option; The standard subscription invoice displayed a blank field rather that the name of the member in the section toward the top right of the invoice.
• FIX - View Results; When selecting to change the status of whether one or all results reports for a competition will be published to Master Scoreboard, message 'You have not been granted access to update this competition' could have occurred preventing the change, when the competition was a re-entry competition.

Update 13.0.21 - 24 September 2024 - Update Package 1521

• NEW - General Bookings; When creating or deleting booking schedules for a range of dates, you may now limit the creation or deletion of schedules to only those schedules in the date range that match chosen days of the week.
• NEW - Master Scoreboard; You may now unlock a member's Master Scoreboard account from HandicapMaster, where their account has become locked due to too many failed log in attempts, using a new option in 'Edit Member' form.
• AMEND - Bookings; When a Singles competition with a reserves list for bookings is re-configured to be a team competition the reserves list is turned off as reserve lists are not available with team competitions.
• AMEND - Bookings; When a Singles competition with a reserves list for bookings is re-configured to be an Open or member invitational competition the reserves list is turned off as reserve lists are not available with Open or member invitational competitions.
• AMEND - Register New Members on Scottish Golf CDH; When the Scottish Golf WHS server fails to register a member, returning message 'LinkMemberUID is required when creating a new membership for an existing person', an improved message is now displayed on screen (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
• FIX - Bookings; Use of left or right double quote characters in a competition name caused a processing error on Master Scoreboard and the bookings were not created or amended.
• FIX - Bookings; When a visitor had booked into an open and their booking was viewed in HandicapMaster, if a previous record for the player existed in the 'Past Visitors' list, it was not returned to the 'Visitors' list as expected.
• FIX - Configure Competition; It was possible to change the holes played in a competition after one or more scores had been entered into the competition, causing problems processing the competition.
• FIX - E-mailing; When e-mailing for example a start sheet report to members and an ‘Other Recipient’ e-mail distribution list was also selected as a recipient, HandicapMaster may have attempted to send the e-mail multiple times to the other recipient(s). HandicapMaster prevented the sending of duplicate e-mails but did log the attempts.
• FIX - Player Entry - Team competitions; In rare cases when a player without a handicap was selected this could result in the next player being selected being assigned the wrong tee for their gender and then Player Entry was unable to calculate the player's Course and Playing handicap.
• FIX - Publishing to Master Scoreboard; Number of Good Holes report. In rare cases a report may have displayed the wrong data when there was a handicap limit applied to the report.
• FIX - Reports; Unexpected error 5( '}' expected, found '\row'.) occurred when viewing a report where the report data contained a curly bracket { or }.
• FIX - Start Sheets; Where a competition is configured to use First Round Handicaps, and the PM option is chosen, the start sheet grid and start sheet report showed different handicaps. The report was correct, the grid was not.

Update 13.0.20 - 14 August 2024 - Update Package 1520

• NEW - Register new members to Scottish Golf WHS service; A new facility is added to the 'Handicapping' menu to enable customers to register new members to the Scottish Golf WHS handicap service and obtain a Scottish Golf National ID in return. This new facility is intended to assist customers with registering new members as part of the Scottish Golf 'One Golfer One Fee' initiative (WHS Editions, Scotland only).
• AMEND - Re-entry Competitions; When closing a Re-entry Competition and one or more players have signed-in but not entered a score, a score of 'No Return - No Score Entered' is now raised (previously a score of 'No Return' with all holes marked as 'picked up' was raised).
• AMEND - When raising a Tournament access request, if the end date is the same as the start date we offer to set an end date a few days after start date (WHS Tournament editions only).
• FIX - Apply Scores; Unexpected error -2147221503 ('Invalid use of Null (Query -29124, Column 'HANDICAP_AT_START')') was reported once as occurring when closing a competition.
• FIX - Download Course Scorecards; In the situation where the WHS handicapping service provider supplied one or more courses without any course scorecards associated to the course, no existing course scorecards were marked as 'not-handicap counting' (where this is required), in error (WHS Editions; England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland only).
• FIX - Enter Scores; For team competitions where the teams were created using a Start Sheet, and Start Sheet option 'Allow Players without Handicaps' was used to include a player without a handicap into one of the teams, one of the other players in that team would be duplicated on the Score Entry screen in their place and subsequent attempts to close the competition would cause unexpected error 5 ('Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.COMP_SCORES' with unique index 'I_MEMBER_ID') to occur.
• FIX - Leaderboard; When displaying a leaderboard for an aggregated competition and option 'Restrict Score Entry/Sign In to these times only' was applied to the competition rounds, and no scores for the current day's round had been recorded, scores from any previous rounds were not displayed on the leaderboard.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When a score was submitted, any previous sign-ins for that competition that did not have a score entered for them were not preserved, in error.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When closing a re-entry competition, any Sign-ins by players that had not had a score returned and which were converted to 'No Return' scores, could fail to be sent to WHS with WHS Platform error 'Holes: Expected 9 entries in Holes[] for this marker, got 18.' if the Re-entry Competition was a 9-hole competition (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When the 'Create Copy as New Competition' facility was run against a Re-entry Competition that had been set up to allow scores to be entered through the Master Scoreboard website, the new competition was not correctly added to Master Scoreboard.
• FIX - Score Card; Unexpected error 5 (' Length cannot be less than zero.') may have happened in rare cases when displaying a score card.
• FIX - Start sheet labels; When selecting custom layout and selecting either 'Old Dymo Label 99010 (deprecated)' or 'New Dymo Label 99010' not all fields on the label were included.
• FIX - View Scorecard Entered; Unexpected error -2147221503 ('Invalid use of Null (Query -53789, Column 'MIXED_TEE_SCORECARD')') was reported as occurring once when viewing a scorecard that had been entered.

Update 13.0.19 - 16 July 2024 - Update Package 1519

• AMEND - Re-entry Competitions; The minimum number of days that may be included in a re-entry competition is amended to two.
• FIX - Eclectics; Scores for players disqualified from competitions for breach of rule 3-3c ('Failure to hole out') were not being included in the Eclectic results.
• FIX - Integration with external Membership systems (LoadCSV); In rare cases it was possible to start two copies of HandicapMaster on the same computer and have each copy process the membership extract file, resulting in duplicate members in HandicapMaster.
• FIX - Player Entry; Unexpected error 9 ('Index was outside the bounds of the array') could occur when the base of the on-screen keyboard was touched when running Player Entry in Touch Screen configuration.
• FIX - Publish to Master Scoreboard; After adding or editing a competition results report for a Re-entry Competition, the results report was not always subsequently published to Master Scoreboard.

Update 13.0.18 - 2 July 2024 - Interim Update Package 1518

• NEW - Start sheet Labels; The label 'Dymo Label 11354' is added.
• NEW - Start sheet Labels; The label 'New Dymo Label 99010' is added, which forces printouts to be correctly formatted for Dymo 99010 labels.
• AMEND - 9-Hole Scores; The WHS handicap server is rejecting 9-Hole scores with either one or two 'Hole not Played' entries. Amended to no longer retry submitting these scores to the WHS server (WHS systems, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• AMEND - Analyse Scores Entered; When displaying the list of scores for a competition with handicap allowance of 'scratch', the handicap and net columns are no longer displayed, to help avoid any confusion.
• AMEND - Closed Competitions List; Columns 'Mens Tees' and 'Ladies Tees' are added to the list of Closed Competitions.
• AMEND - Member lists; A new column 'Gender' is added allowing the lists to be sorted by gender.
• AMEND - Player Entry printing sign in labels. The print control dialog is changed to prevent the CANCEL option when printing a label. This removes the possibility of a member responding so quickly and cancelling the print of the label, typically when using a keypad or keyboard.
• AMEND - Publish to England Golf WHS Server; When publishing membership updates to the England Golf WHS server, inappropriate message 'Unable to register Player on England Golf CDH as a member. Facility withdrawn by England Golf' is no longer generated to the connection log.
• AMEND - Reconfigure Competition; When applying a reconfiguration of a competition and this required a recalculation of player's scores, the recalculation would fail with 'Changes to the Competition have NOT been applied' without any indication of the underlying problem. When the problem is caused by a player's Handicap Index not being available for check, an advisory message is now displayed.
• AMEND - Start sheet Labels; The current label 'Dymo Label 99010' is renamed 'Old Dymo Label 99010 (deprecated)'. We recommend that this is no longer used dues to possible issues when printing labels, and that one of the other label sizes is used.
• AMEND - Start Sheet Report; When displaying Handicap values on the report, the player's Course Handicap/Tee Handicap is now shown unrounded (limited to three decimal places for report readability).
• AMEND - When viewing reports and the mouse configuration option in Windows for 'Scroll inactive windows when hover over them' is ON you can now use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down the report viewer window without having to click on the scroll bar.
• AMEND - WHS Handicapping; Activate 'Course minus Par' WHS option when calculating player's Course Handicaps for customers operating HandicapMaster in Egypt.
• FIX - Competition Results; For stroke-play competitions with handicap allowance of 'scratch', the results sheet was showing count-back information related to 'gross score less mixed tee adjustments' data, in error.
• FIX - Leader Board; After configuring a competition as an 'Alternative Day' or 'Multiple-Round' competition and setting an Overall Name for the combined competition, the Overall Name continued to be displayed on the Leader Board even when the competition was re-configured to no longer be a combined competition, in error.
• FIX - Opened Competition; Configure Competition. The 'Presentation of Results' text for the number of divisions may have been incorrect when the maximum handicap is less than 54 (Local Handicapping editions only).
• FIX - Player Entry Visitor Handicaps; When looking up a visitor's Handicap Index from a DotGolf system, in some cases when a Handicap Index was not forthcoming from the DotGolf system the player was not requested to confirm their Handicap Index, in error (WHS editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Player Record; When displaying a Player Record for a player with entries from team competitions played off mixed Tees, the 'CR' and 'Slope' entries in the player's Playing Record table could be displayed as '?' in error (WHS Editions).
• FIX - Scorecards from a Competition report; When displaying the scorecards from a Par/Bogey competition, the 'Results' column on each scorecard was not being calculated correctly.
• FIX - Start Sheets and Bookings; When selecting a player for a start sheet, or bookings the list of names did not reset after selecting a player.

Update 13.0.17 - 18 June 2024 - Update Package 1517

• NEW - 'Course Handicaps List (For Competition)' report; This new report is added, enabling access to Course Handicap values that would be used for calculating competition Playing Handicaps, for all formats of competition (WHS editions only).
• NEW - 'Tee Handicaps List (For Competition)' report; This new report is added, enabling access to Tee Handicap values that would be used for calculating competition Strokes Received, for all formats of competition (Local Handicapping editions only).
• AMEND - Check for Updates; Network timeout limit is doubled to help prevent Check for Updates failing. One customer reported frequent timeouts while checking for updates.
• AMEND - Configure Competition; When reconfiguring a Stroke Play competition, and the competition had previously been set to be aggregated with another round, the selected other round was not displayed in the visible part of the list on the 'Multiple Round Competitions' tab when first viewed, incorrectly suggesting that the competition was not linked correctly.
• AMEND - Export to Golfdirecto; When exporting scores from a closed competition, example tee times are added to the export file to aid importing to Golfdirecto (Local Handicapping editions only).
• AMEND - Find a Player on WHS Platform; After searching for a player by National ID, the results of the search now show the gender of the player as reported by the WHS Handicap service, and this is emphasised in the colouring on screen. A warning is now displayed if a player with the same National ID is recorded in the HandicapMaster database, and has a different Gender to that reported by the WHS Handicap service (WHS Editions only).
• AMEND - General Play Scores; When a score is entered or edited through the HandicapMaster app, the time is recorded and displayed in the 'General Play Scores (Completed)' list.
• AMEND - Initial Handicap Cards and Penalty Scores; The time a score was entered is now recorded and displayed in the lists of these scores.
• AMEND - 'Playing Handicaps List (For Competition)' report; Reports are no longer generated for Foursomes, Greensomes and Scramble competition formats, as these require players to be allocated to teams before Playing Handicaps may be generated (WHS editions only).
• AMEND - Publish; When electing to publish to England Golf WHS Platform, the warning screen detailing England Golf's removal of some facilities (2023) is now removed from HandicapMaster (WHS Editions, England only).
• AMEND - 'Strokes Received List (For Competition)' report; Reports are no longer generated for Foursomes, Greensomes and Scramble competition formats, as these require players to be allocated to teams before Playing Handicaps may be generated (Local Handicapping editions only).
• FIX - Analyse Scores Entered; When viewing a scorecard from a closed competition (Foursomes, Greensomes and Scramble formats) and viewing the handicap calculations (I.e., using the 'Explain Handicap Values' button), the Course Handicap calculations could be shown miscalculated where the selected player played from a different set of tees to those used for scoring for the competition.
• FIX - Competitions; The option to set a stroke-play competition results in divisions were drawn incorrectly on screen, with the settings for the upper handicap limit misplaced on screen, when a larger Display Scaling than 100% in Windows Settings was used.
• FIX - Edit Competition Template; After editing a competition template and electing to update any opened competitions that used the template, if any of the opened competitions included score entry through Master Scoreboard, the Master Scoreboard Score Entry configuration was not updated to reflect the new Competition configuration.
• FIX - Four Ball Scores for Handicapping; The advisory report available when selecting a Four Ball entry in the 'Handicap Score Submission Log' incorrectly reported some player's scores as not being suitable for handicapping, when their score did potentially qualify for handicapping (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• FIX - Handicap Score Submission Log; Unexpected error -2147221502 ('Invalid use of Null (Query -53820, Column 'DATE_PLAYED_DT')') may have happened in rare cases when attempting to display the Handicap Score Submission log. A single customer reported this. (WHS Editions).
• FIX - List views; In some cases if the previously selected item is at the end of the list, then when the list was re-displayed that item although highlighted was not visible.
• FIX - Match-Play Knockout Draw; When running a draw, it was possible to change which genders were eligible to be included in the draw, after configuring the handicapping details for the draw. This could leave some handicapping details missing, preventing the handicapping details being displayed to players.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When closing a re-entry competition, any Sign-ins by players that had not had a score returned were not being converted to 'No Return' scores.
• FIX - Tournament Software; In some cases it was possible to select an invalid venue when raising a Access request (WHS Tournament editions only).
• FIX - Undo; After downloading Course Scorecards from a WHS server and then selecting Undo, unexpected error 6 ('Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow') occurred.

Update 13.0.16 - 21 May 2024 - Update Package 1516

• AMEND - Course Scorecards; Column 'Par' is added to the list of Course Scorecards, showing the total Par for all holes on each course scorecard.
• AMEND - Golf Course list view; By a re-ordering of the columns, you may now navigate the list of Clubs using the keyboard and typing the first letter of the club. This will be of primary use to Tournament and Local handicapping customers where there are multiple clubs listed.
• AMEND - Handicap Record; Player's Handicap Index and Low Handicap Index are now displayed in the heading above the player's record, when their Handicap Record is displayed (WHS Editions).
• AMEND - Help text added details of how to Change Start Date of Subscription Templates with a Fixed Date.
• FIX - Apply Scores; When applying the scores for a re-entry competition, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') could occur if a change of Tees had occurred after some scores had been recorded.
• FIX - Four Ball competition handicapping; Turn off Handicap Counting status for competitions and competition templates where the handicap allowance is not either 'scratch' or '85%' and incorrectly converted to handicap counting (WHS Editions, England Scotland, Wales and Ireland only).
• FIX - Golf Course Score Cards; When entering numerical values with a decimal point in the Golf Course Score Card configuration (not score entry) and when the regional decimal separator is a comma, the data typed in was not retained.
• FIX - Player Entry; When displaying the handicapping information for a Knock Out match and the player answered 'No' to the screen question 'Record Result of this Match?', the player was still asked for the winner of the match, in error.
• FIX - Player Entry; When Visitors were being registered through Player Entry using a lookup of their details from a National WHS server, and the lookup failed, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') could occur (WHS Editions).

Update 13.0.15 - 30 April 2024 - Interim Update Package 1515

• AMEND - Online Score Entry; When selecting to deduct fees at sign-in online, a check is added to ensure this has been fully configured before the settings are saved.
• AMEND - Player Entry Settings Profile; When selecting to operate a callback, a check is added to ensure the callback has been fully configured before the profile is saved.
• AMEND - Tees; Additional space is now given to the Tee colour names on some selection lists, to allow for extended Tee Colours descriptions being received from WHS servers.
• FIX - ClubWebsite; Error 'The client and server cannot communicate because they do not possess a common algorithm' will be reported on computers running versions of Windows prior to Windows 11.
• FIX - Configure Competition; When re-configuring an opened competition to change it to a Scratch (no handicap) competition, the change was not saved to the competition.
• FIX - Letters; Unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') may have occurred when running a letter.
• FIX - Manage Competition Fees; When operating a competition purse and then selecting 'Manage Competition Fees...', Unexpected Error 5 ('InvalidArgument=Value of '-1' is not valid for 'index'.') occurred.
• FIX - Record General Play score; When recording a General Play score played at an 'away venue', it was possible to record the Adjusted Gross Score as 'No Return', causing message 'INTERNAL ERROR: Adjusted gross score as NR not processed - SocialScore_Main' to occur and HandicapMaster to exit (LOCAL handicapping only).
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When an opened Re-entry competition was reconfigured to change the Tees to play from, between some players signing-in and before any players had entered scores, the tee selection for those signed in was not updated.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When an opened Re-entry competition was reconfigured, some attributes were not updated on Master Scoreboard for online score entry, such as a change in Tees, and more.

Update 13.0.14 - 23 April 2024 - Update Package 1514

• FIX - Send Scores to WHS Server; Unexpected error 102 ('Incorrect syntax near '^'.') could occur sending scores to the WHS server (WHS Editions).

Update 13.0.13 - 23 April 2024 - Update Package 1513

• NEW - Handicapping Reports; A new report 'Playing Handicaps Chart (for singles Competition)' is added to WHS editions, and a similar 'Strokes Received Chart (for singles competition)' is added to Local Handicapping editions.
• AMEND - ClubWebsite; Program now uses TLS v1.3 for secure communication where the computer support TLS v1.3.
• AMEND - E-MAIL; When sending to non-members the fields will be replaced by the recipient's name, and will be replaced by the recipient's e-mail address.
• AMEND - Four Ball Scores for Handicapping; The Golf Unions have requested a change to the way Four Ball score data is sent to their WHS systems. This change is implemented. Also, any Four Ball scores previously sent are reprocessed and re-sent at the Golf Union's request (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland only).
• AMEND - HandicapMaster; Some minor adjustments to colours used in HandicapMaster screens, to improve the experience of using HandicapMaster on a Windows computer that has been configured to use a 'High Contrast' display Theme.
• AMEND - Player Entry; When signing in for a competition or General Play score, or operating the My Course Handicap facility, the player's unrounded Course Handicap/Tee Handicap value (to 3 decimal places) is now also displayed on the screen, in addition to their rounded Course Handicap/Tee Handicap.
• AMEND - Player Hole-by-Hole Analysis report; This report now includes scores from re-entry competitions, where the re-entry competitions have been closed.
• FIX - Local Handicapping; When running Local Handicapping using incremental handicapping, and after undoing a score from a player's record, the count of number of scores in that player's handicap record could be recorded as zero in error, affecting some handicapping functions (LOCAL editions only).
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Unexpected error 5 ('SqlConnection does not support parallel transactions') was reported on one occasion, when creating or updating a re-entry competition.

Update 13.0.12 - 10 April 2024 - Update Package 1512

• NEW - Subscriptions Option; A new report 'Subscriptions Assigned to Letters' is added to list Subscriptions assigned to each letter.
• AMEND - Course (Tee) Handicap Chart; The total Par for the course is now included in the heading section of the chart.
• AMEND - KO Match Handicapping; Calculation of strokes received for Greensomes competitions is amended to use unrounded Course Handicaps.
• AMEND - Subscriptions Option; If letter has been assigned to one or more subscriptions it is no longer possible to delete that letter, to retain data integrity.
• FIX - Configure Competition; if a Team competition with option 'For scoring, Use Pars and Stroke Indexes from' set to Men's Tees or Ladies Tees was reconfigured to a Singles competition, and a new selection of Tees was also made, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') could occur.
• FIX - Course Handicap calculation; When running a team competition from mixed tees and scoring is using the Pars and Stroke Indexes from one course scorecard (such as a mixed Foursomes competition using the Ladies' Pars and Stroke Indexes), the wrong Par value could have been used when adding 'Course rating minus Par' to Course Handicaps (WHS Editions).
• FIX - Send Scores to WHS; Unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') could occur sending a Four Ball score for handicapping where one of the player's Handicap Index was unknown or reported as not valid (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland).

Update 13.0.11 - 3 April 2024 - Interim Update Package 1511

• NEW - Course Scorecards; A system alert message is added warning when there are potential changes to Course Scorecards awaiting to be downloaded from the WHS Platform (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland only. Not Tournament edition users.).
• AMEND - Convert Competitions to Handicap Counting; The windows displayed on start-up when one or more Four Ball or short course competition templates or opened competitions exist and are not flagged as counting for handicapping are no longer be displayed once the OK button is selected (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland only).
• AMEND - Error reporting; The screen displayed when an unexpected error occurs is updated.
• AMEND - Re-entry Competitions; When emailing a results report for a re-entry competition, the 'competitors in the competition' distribution list is now populated with applicable e-mail addresses.
• AMEND - Score Submission Log; When reporting a Four Ball score sent for handicapping, the report now also considers whether the team scored 42 points and therefore met the threshold to be considered for handicapping (WHS editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland).
• AMEND - Send Email; Size of text displayed in the body of the email when composing the covering text for an email is set slightly larger, for improved usability.
• AMEND - Sending Scores to WHS server; Where Four Ball scores have been entered through older HandicapMaster or Player Entry software that is not conformant to the latest requirements of the WHS handicapping server, these scores are no longer sent to WHS and instead show with message 'Score entered using out-of-date software. Contact Support. Score not submitted' (WHS Editions, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland only).
• FIX - Find a Player on WHS Platform; In many cases, the description 'FROZEN' was being displayed alongside the player's Handicap Index in error (WHS Editions).
• FIX - Get Course Handicap; When running the Player Entry system in 'kiosk' mode with the 'Get Course Handicap' option, the instructions on the front screen were displayed in the wrong colours (especially when using the darker green colour scheme), making the details difficult to read.
• FIX - Local Handicapping; The 'Position-based Adjustments' competition report was showing '--Unknown--' as the section title for adjustments for players unplaced in the competition, in error (LOCAL Handicapping editions only).
• FIX - Player Entry; When a visitor entered their National ID and there was no record in the HandicapMaster database for this ID, and then a check on the WHS platform for the player returned the player's record but with a different National ID, duplicate entries for this player could be created in the HandicapMaster database (WHS Editions).
• FIX - Program Start-up; In some rare cases the following FIX may have prevented HandicapMaster starting: FIX - E-Mail; Other recipient entries may have been duplicated within the HandicapMaster database, which caused issues with managing members in 'Other Recipients' distribution lists.

Update 13.0.10 - 20 March 2024 - Update Package 1510

• NEW - Export to Golfdirecto; Customers in Spain may now export start sheet times and also competition scores to files, ready for importing into the Golfdirecto system, for onward sending to the WHS system in Spain (Local Handicapping editions only).
• NEW - Re-entry competitions; An option to 'Use Stroke Indexes of 1 to n for holes in play' is added to the Re-entry competition wizard (when competitions are being played over less than 18 holes each round). When selected, this adjusts the Stroke Index table for this competition so that the lowest stroke index values are allocated to the holes in play. The ordering of Indexes, for these holes in play, are retained from the original Stroke Index table saved in the Course Scorecard.
• NEW - Score Submission Log; The Score Submission Log is converted to an interactive list, providing access to further information about scoring data sent to a CDH. For Four Ball scores, this includes an estimate of the points that will be calculated under WHS Rules of Handicapping, rule 5.10.
• AMEND - Find a Player on WHS Platform; Where the WHS Handicap server reports a player's Handicap as 'Frozen', this will now be displayed on screen when using the Find a Player on WHS Platform facility (WHS Editions, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland only).
• AMEND - Handicapping; Terminology used to identify whether scores count for handicapping is updated to 'Scores are acceptable for Handicap purposes' (WHS handicapping editions) and 'Scores count for Handicap purposes' (LOCAL handicapping editions).
• AMEND - Import scores from external system; This deprecated facility is now removed.
• AMEND - Player Entry; When using the Sign-in service for a competition, player's handicaps and strokes received are now always displayed in the confirmation message that a player has completed sign in. The Settings Profile option to turn off this behaviour is removed.

• NEW - Handicapping Reports; New report 'Handicap Records (All Recent Scores)' listing all scores added to home player's handicap records in the last month, is added (WHS Editions, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland only).
• AMEND - E-mailing Reports; When e-mailing some reports, the wording warning that the full report will be sent to all recipients is amended. Also, the warning is excluded from being displayed when e-mailing some formats of reports.

• FIX - Re-configure Booking Arrangements; Where a Booking Template has been used for a competition that has one of more times deselected from being available, and the re-configure wizard was used to make a time available, the time was not made visible on the booking sheet.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Where a re-entry competition was being played over less than 18 holes, the holes not in play were being recorded as 'picked up' holes in error, disrupting the count of holes picked up in the Analyse Scores Entered list.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Where a score for a re-entry competition was entered using HandicapMaster or Player Entry software earlier than version 13.0.8, Unexpected error -2147221503 ('Invalid use of Null (Query -53794, Column 'IS_GROSS_SCORES_BY_STROKES')') could occur when subsequently publishing to Master Scoreboard. (Cloud, Hosted and Network edition users only).

Update 13.0.8 - 20 February 2024 - Update Package 1508

• AMEND - Analyse Scores Entered; When viewing the list of scores entered for a Re-entry Competition, the heading above the list of players and their scores now includes a count of the number of members represented in the competition.
• AMEND - E-mail; Improve deliverability by replacing 'Bare Line Feed' characters in e-mail body text as some e-mail recipient domains cannot accept these characters. Bare Line Feed characters are not part of e-mail body text created within HandicapMaster, but may be pasted in some rare cases.
• AMEND - Match-Play Competitions; Following new guidance from CONGU for handicapping of Team Match-play competitions, the calculation and display of handicapping information for each match is amended.
• AMEND - Re-configure Bookings Arrangements; When amending the number of places available for a Tee Time, the view of the list of times no longer resets back to the top of the list after each amendment.
• AMEND - Re-configure Bookings Arrangements; When re-selecting a tee time to be available in the list of times (by ticking the box alongside a time), the default number of Places for that tee time is now based on a better assessment of Places used in that booking sheet.
• AMEND - Start Sheets; When setting a Tee for each player to play from, the default selection is now the left-most available Tee colour for each player, as listed on screen.

• FIX - Analyse Scores Entered; When showing the Analyse Scores Entered list for a closed 'multi-column scoring' team competition (e.g. Four Ball, Am-Am, etc.), an additional column heading ('Play H'cap') was being included in error.
• FIX - Competition Winners Report; Unexpected error 5 ('Column 'REENTRY_SERIES_ID' does not belong to table MyDataset') occurred running the report when one or more Re-entry competitions were in the closed competitions list for the period analysed by the report.
• FIX - Player Entry; Network, Hosted and Cloud edition systems may have shown an incorrect count of players signed in and/or scores entered.
• FIX - Record Away Score; When recording an away score played in 'Par/Bogey' format, an incorrect Adjusted Score would be calculated when applying the score to the player's Handicap record (Local Handicapping editions only).
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; After publishing the competition results to Master Scoreboard website, then undoing the re-entry competition and re-publishing to Master Scoreboard, the players scores for that competition could no longer be published to Master Scoreboard.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Message 'Before proceeding, please 'Open a New Competition'' was displayed in error when accessing a re-entry competition listed in the opened competitions list when the only competitions opened were all Re-entry competitions. This prevented access to 'Enter Scores' for the competition through HandicapMaster.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When listing twos returned on the competition results report, the date of when each two was recorded was incorrectly reported.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When the 'Form of Play' was changed for a re-entry competition after some scorecards had already been entered, this was not recorded in the submitted scorecards data, potentially causing the wrong type of results to be generated.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; When viewing the Closed Competitions list and using the right-click context menu to change whether the competition results reports for a competition were published to Master Scoreboard, the change was not actioned if the competition was a Re-entry competition.
• FIX - Reports; Unexpected error 5 ('Value cannot be null. Parameter name: text') in function 'AddFormattedText_WithNonBreakingSpaces' may have occurred in rare cases when running some reports.

• FIX - Player Entry; Previous fix 'FIX - Player Entry Kiosk Mode; When configured as a touch screen and the visitor option 'Do you Know your Handicap Index' is displayed the tapping of either option did not work.' introduced an issue which prevented the Yes and No buttons from operating when not operating in Kiosk mode.
• FIX - Results Reports; Unexpected Error 5('Incorrect syntax near ')'') was reported on one occasion when generating a results report as part of publishing to Master Scoreboard.

Update 13.0.5 - 6 February 2024 - Update Package 1505

• AMEND - Maximum Score Competitions; The range of options for a Maximum Score competition is expanded to include setting the maximum score on any hole to Thirteen, Fourteen or Fifteen strokes.
• AMEND - Re-entry Competitions; You may now choose the Handicap Allowance to be applied for the competition, from a selection of alternatives.
• AMEND - Scores Entered; The 'Explain Handicap Values' ('Hi') button displayed on the scorecard screen in HandicapMaster is extended for closed and re-entry competitions to display the calculations of a player's Course Handicap/Tee Handicap.
• AMEND - Start Sheet Report; if the 'Show Home Club' option is selected this is now enhanced to include the home club of away members. Previously this option was limited to visitors.
• AMEND - Tees; When displaying the set of Tees for a competition in the 'opened competitions' list and in the Start Sheet wizard, the ordering of Tee colours is now based on course ratings/reference scores for those tees.
• FIX - Analyse Scores; When attempting to Analyse Scores for a re-entry competition, and the competition was limited to a single gender, and the HandicapMaster user account had custom access which was also limited to the same gender the message 'You have not been granted access to view this competition.' was displayed in error, and access was prevented.
• FIX - Housekeeping; When running housekeeping to 'remove Subscription and Payment records up to a chosen date', the opening balance for the Subscription purse was not always correctly set.
• FIX - Letters; Unexpected error 5 ('InvalidArgument=Value of '-1' is not valid for 'index'.') may have occurred when using the letter Writer in HandicapMaster.
• FIX - Player Entry Kiosk Mode; When configured as a touch screen and the visitor option 'Do you Know your Handicap Index' is displayed the tapping of either option did not work.
• FIX - Player Entry; When a competition score was recorded through Player Entry and the Player Entry option to require players to report who marked their card was not in operation, the marker was recorded as 'Player not listed' in Analyse Scores Entered list, in error.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Suitable divisional boundaries were not set when the option to generate results based upon 'auto-balanced' divisions was selected.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; The number of players signed in or entered scores in opened re-entry competitions were not being counted on the Player Entry display.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') occurred when reducing the Playing Handicap/Stroke Received for a player's score in a re-entry competition.
• FIX - Re-entry Competitions; Where a re-entry competition was configured to be played over 10 to 18 holes and a player's sign-in or score entry was performed through the HandicapMaster app, the Course Handicap/Tee Handicap was mis-calculated as if the competition was a 9-hole competition, in error.

• NEW - Competition Bookings; When re-configuring booking arrangements for a competition being booked by players selecting a tee time, you may now adjust the number of places on offer on a per-tee time basis. For example, you may now have some tee times with 3 places available to book and some tee times with four places available (WHS-GOLD and LOCAL-GOLD editions only).
• NEW - Player Entry 'My Tee Handicap' service; A 'My Tee Handicap' service is added to the Local Handicapping editions, similar in nature to the 'My Course Handicap' service in WHS editions. Is limited to using course scorecards associated with the 'system home club'.
• AMEND - Letters - Subscription fields; where there are no values available, the text displayed now defaults to the font and size used in the body of the letter rather than the salutation font.
