HandicapMaster 8.4.6 (Update Package 756) (7 January 2014)

  • NEW - EGA Handicapping; When running the Annual Review in the European Handicap System editions, you may now choose to apply the Portuguese Golf Federation Annual Review calculations rather than the standard EGA calculations.
  • NEW - Knock-out Competition Draws; You may now also add a player to a draw by using the FIND button below the list of players being entered into the draw.
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (Ireland); "Curragh" is renamed as "Royal Curragh".
  • FIX - Bookings; When displaying bookings in 'spreadsheet' layout in HandicapMaster and the booking arrangements for the competition were cancelled, the display was not updated.
  • FIX - Player Entry Leader Board; Scores on screen were not being refreshed when a change in Division occurred for a competition.
  • FIX - Publish to Internet report; Warnings and Errors were not being shown coloured, as intended.

HandicapMaster 8.4.5 (Update Package 755) (20 December 2013)

  • NEW - Subscriptions Option; It is now possible to set a New Start Date for Subscription and Invoice Templates with fixed start date. On the List of templates right click and select 'New Start Date for Templates with fixed date'.
  • NEW - User Access; Set separate security to configure and send Email.
  • AMEND - Changed "Fax" to "Other Tel" on the 'Edit Member' form.
  • AMEND - Changes to CONGU Category 1 players returning Supplementary Scores during summer (now allowable if the player has a non-competition handicap) (England only).
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Manor (The) (Kingstone) Ltd" as "The Manor (Staffordshire)".
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (Kenya); Added "Kenya Golf Union".
  • AMEND - KO Draw Sheet Report; HandicapMaster will try to optimise the size of the names and telephone numbers if selected, on the report taking account of the size of the paper and the length of names. In some cases long names may be displayed in a smaller font to shorter names.
  • AMEND - Raise Invoice wizard; Now correctly uses selected printer for printing invoices and does not prompt for each invoice as it is printed.
  • AMEND - Raise Invoice wizard; This has been enhanced to deal with errors sending invoices by e-mail in a more informative manner.
  • AMEND - Reports; The 'Names and Addresses' and the 'Telephone Numbers' reports now identify the telephone numbers with the legend 'Tel:', 'Mob:', or 'Other:'
  • AMEND - Reports; When saving reports to file, a filename for the report is now suggested.
  • FIX - Competition Results Report; Option to include a page break between divisions was not working.
  • FIX - Handicap Record Graphs; HandicapMaster was trying to plot the graph when there was no data or only a single value to be plotted, in error.
  • FIX - Knock Out Reports; In some circumstances the chart layout could be generated beyond the bottom of the page.
  • FIX - Start Sheet Labels; Printing to Labellon LJ144 Labels could be misaligned.
  • FIX - Start Sheet Labels; Text could wrap around on label causing misalignment of the printing of the labels.
  • FIX - Start Sheets; Unexpected error 5 ("Specified argument was out of the range of valid values") occurred running the Start Sheets report in "game order" or "player order" for a Shotgun start.
  • FIX - Texas Scramble Competitions; Player Entry would not create the correct teams for a Texas Scramble competition when bookings were received into "blocks" for this competition.

HandicapMaster 8.4.4 (Update Package 754) (4 December 2013)

  • NEW - HandicapMaster will now prompt to publish to the CDH when exiting the program if handicap records have changed and HandicapMaster is configured to link to the Scottish Golf Union or Golf Union of Wales CDH systems.
  • NEW - Report 'Lowest Handicap Held (Selected Range of Handicaps)' added.
  • NEW - Report 'Lowest Handicap Held during Previous Season' has been renamed to 'Lowest Handicap Held' and enhanced extended to allow report to be run for the current or previous season and also between chosen dates.
  • NEW - Report 'Most Improved Golfer' has been enhanced to allow report to be run between chosen dates.
  • NEW - When e-mailing competition result reports the e-mail subject and the entry in the e-mail log will contain the name of the competition.
  • NEW - When running the Premier or Network editions of HandicapMaster, you may now choose how many seconds informational messages will be displayed on the Player Entry system for.
  • AMEND - Bookings; Improved handling of apostrophes in competition and course names when using Master Scoreboard for bookings.
  • AMEND - CONGU 9 Hole Competition handicap Allowance report layout has been improved when scratch score for 9 holes is not set.
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Added "Centurion (Hertfordshire)" and renamed "Centurions" as "Centurions (Surrey)".
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (Wales); Added "North Wales Counties (Assn)".
  • AMEND - Player Entry Leader Board; Internal changes made to reduce load on database when low frequency of scores being added to competitions.
  • FIX - Competition Results Reports; Some player's names could be truncated in team and multiple-round result reports.
  • FIX - Letters; Heading text may have contained text 'VAT No: Missing', this text should not have been displayed.
  • FIX - Most Improved Golfer Report; Player names were being incorrectly formatted.
  • FIX - Unexpected Error 5 ("Font 'XXXXXXX' does not support style 'Regular') may have occurred when running reports.

HandicapMaster 8.4.3 (Update Package 753) (18 November 2013)

  • NEW - Option to enter and process a pairs competition with a selection of best scores per hole to count is added.
  • NEW - Reporting KO Match Results; You may now choose whether players may report KO results as "No Report" or "Other" when they report results through Player Entry.
  • AMEND - Find Text button on reports toolbar is redesigned to resolve various defects.
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Misterton" to "Misterton Gate".
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (Ireland); Added "Lough Erne" and "Palmerstown Stud". Removed "Turvey", "Leinster Hills" and "Tuskar Rock".
  • AMEND - Vertical Scrollbar displayed when viewing reports now takes account of reports over more than one page.
  • FIX - Incorrect message "Error" was displayed when cancelling entry of Knock-out match result through Player Entry.
  • FIX - Save Reports as RTF; Some reports saved to RTF format could be corrupted with data repeated within the report when viewed with Microsoft Word.
  • FIX - Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid. Inner: Input string was not in a correct format") occurred in some cases when deleting membership categories.
  • FIX - Unexpected error 6 ("Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow") could occur raising a subscription (Subscriptions option).
  • FIX - Unexpected Error 91 ("Object reference not set to an instance of an object") could occur when applying scores and there was a rollback of the database transaction for some reason.

HandicapMaster 8.4.2 (Update Package 752) (7 November 2013)

  • MASTER SCOREBOARD - Clubs requiring members to log on to Master Scoreboard with an individual password may now enable a new email notification service. Members may then subscribe to receive notifications when new data is published to Master Scoreboard and/or competition bookings are made or cancelled (if online bookings are enabled).   • FIX - (Ref. 83127) - In rare situations, Handicap 'Notes' entries could cause the wrong handicap to be used for a player at score entry time.
  • FIX - In some circumstances, some membership reports could be generated with the first page break in the wrong place (leaving just one line on the second page).
  • FIX - View Handicap Record Report; An 'Internal Error' occurred whenever a handicap record report was displayed.
  • FIX - When displaying Handicap Record Report; the wrong actions were performed when clicking "H'cap Record Tasks" items in the left hand column (Society edition only).
  • FIX – When e-mailing Handicap Certificates or General Play Change letters it was possible for the e-mail text to contain a duplicate salutation line.
