HandicapMaster 8.5.8 (Update Package 808) (4 January 2015)

  • FIX - Publish to Master Scoreboard; Publishing would fail when a comma was present in a name of a forthcoming competition.

HandicapMaster 8.5.7 (Update Package 807) (2 January 2015)

  • AMEND - Date Joined membership report now includes the member's membership category.
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Ingol" to "Ingol Village".
  • AMEND - Publish to CDH; The time taken to publish to UK CDH's is reduced, due to a reduction in the time taken to process handicap record entries from the database.
  • AMEND - Publish to GOLFnet; When a player ID is reported as deleted on the GOLFnet server, HandicapMaster will now ask whether to remove the ID from the player's record before doing so (CONGU editions, Ireland only).
  • FIX – Unexpected error 13 ("Conversion from string "Wednesday-01-01-2014" to type 'Date' is not valid.") reported by a single customer who had a customised short date format in windows, when running annual handicap review report.

HandicapMaster 8.5.6 (Update Package 806) (16 December 2014)

  • NEW - Letters; It is now possible to choose to use the recipients full name in the recipient address section of letters, this also includes subscriptions and invoices and receipts where the Subscription option is installed.
  • NEW - Letters; The following new field is added, <AmountsPaid> - Where the Subscription option is NOT installed this field will display the date paid and the amounts recorded for a single subscription payment, locker fee and other amount along with the total.
  • NEW - Letters; The following new field is added, <MemberAddress> - The address of the addressee.
  • NEW - Letters; The following new field is added, <Transactions> - A member's transaction history for all dates. (Only available when the Subscriptions option is installed.)
  • NEW - Master Scoreboard; Competitions that have been closed to bookings will now be shown on Master Scoreboard, with a link to 'View Entries' until a Start Sheet is published or the date passes (Premier and Network editions).
  • NEW - Publish to CDH; In some circumstances HandicapMaster will now recognise when an incoming Away Score is a revision to a previously received score (CONGU Editions, England, Scotland Wales and Ireland).
  • AMEND - CONGU Annual Review Report; adjusted width of some columns based on customer feedback. (CONGU Editions only).
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Added "MGR".
  • AMEND - Subscriptions Option; Address labels. Where no labels are produced the message displayed now indicates that "No Records found or no address information or selected subscriptions are to be sent by e-mail".
  • AMEND - Subscriptions Option; Address labels; A label is no longer created for a subscription pool member when a subscription pool contact has an e-mail address, but the pool member does not have an e-mail address.
  • AMEND - When closing HandicapMaster down and you have decided to publish to the CDH the "Print" button on the 'Unknown members' page of the publish wizard is removed as it is not required.
  • AMEND - When running Handicap Certificate report HandicapMaster now excludes away members and members without handicaps from the selection list.
  • FIX - Subscriptions Option; Address labels; When a range of subscriptions is selected, additional labels for voided or cancelled subscriptions may have been created in error.
  • FIX - Subscriptions Option; When a member is added to a subscription pool all their existing subscriptions are now associated with the subscription pool. This means that if address labels are created then a label based on the subscription pool contact will be created if appropriate. Previously a member specific label would have been created for existing subscriptions (but not subsequently raised subscriptions) even though the member had been added to the pool.

HandicapMaster 8.5.5 (Update Package 805) (2 December 2014)

  • NEW - Publish to Master Scoreboard; The Fixture List (from current date to end of following year) is now published to Master Scoreboard.
  • NEW - Group Bookings; You may decide which Group Bookings are included on fixture lists using a new setting in Group Bookings.
  • NEW - Opened Competitions; You may decide which future competitions are included on fixture lists using a new right-click menu option in the 'Opened Competitions' list.
  • NEW - CONGU Annual Review report; You may now access the CONGU Annual Review computer report through an entry added to the list of Handicapping reports (CONGU editions only).
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Add "Clandon".
  • FIX - Player Entry; Choices for selecting a result of a Knock-out match were not being displayed, preventing reporting of KO match results.
  • FIX - Player Entry; Some screens were not responding to UP/DOWN keys being pressed when configured to use Cherry Keypads.

HandicapMaster 8.5.4 (Update Package 804) (26 November 2014)

  • AMEND – Import Players; For Away Players and Visitors use the member's home club when determining if the member is already in the database. This means that two members with the same name but different home clubs can now be imported.
  • FIX - Unexpected error 5 ("Column 'BOOKINGS_TYPE' does not belong to table MyDataset") occurred amending competition bookings arrangements.

HandicapMaster 8.5.3 (Update Package 803) (25 November 2014)

  • NEW - Bookings; You may now create a fixture list report based upon the entries in the Bookings Calendar (Premier and Network editions). You may decide which Calendar notes are included on the fixture list using a new setting in Calendar Notes.
  • AMEND - Find Player on CDH; When finding a player by number in some cases when the CDH returned an error message the text of the message was truncated.
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Wallsend" to "Centurion Park (Tyne & Wear)".
  • FIX - Analyse Scores Entered (Open Competition); Pressing DELETE key over a scorecard in Analyse Scores Entered list failed to cancel the scorecard when the competition was a team competition.
  • FIX - Custom Start Sheet labels; When titling was selected when printing custom start sheet labels, some titles were printed in error for blank items on the labels.
  • FIX - Player Entry Configuration Wizard; The option to use titling on score card labels printed at sign-in was not being saved.
  • FIX - Player Entry; Screen text "Select by List of Names" was truncated to "Select by List of" in some circumstances.
  • FIX - Player Entry; The custom message screen could show at wrong times when also showing Leader board.
  • FIX - Player Entry; When Titling was selected when printing score card labels at Sign in, some titles were printed in error for blank items on the labels.

HandicapMaster 8.5.2 (Update Package 802) (18 November 2014)

  • NEW - Bookings Calendar; You may now print a copy of the calendar, using a new button added to the Calendar toolbar.
  • NEW - Custom Start Sheet Labels; Added support for titling of custom start sheet labels.
  • NEW - Custom Start Sheet Labels; When titling selected and competition is a team competition the strokes received value is titled as “Team Strokes:” rather than “Strokes:”
  • NEW - My Golf Ranking; Sending competition scores to My Golf Ranking external website is now invoked by selecting a new option in the PUBLISH wizard, when publishing to Master Scoreboard. You now longer need to publish competition results round-by-round to My Golf Ranking; these will be collected by the My Golf Ranking service directly from the Master Scoreboard web site (when option has been selected). My Golf Ranking is an external website not operated by HandicapMaster Ltd.
  • NEW - Player Entry; Sign-in Labels; Added Player prefix letters when titling selected.
  • NEW - Where competition fees for members are being deducted from the HandicapMaster Subscriptions Option, an option is added to Display their Previous Account Balance if they successfully sign in.
  • AMEND - Bookings Template Wizard; Change to wording for option for players to pay when booking online, to reflect that this option may be used for Members-only competitions also.
  • AMEND - Context Menus; Some additional icons added to context (right-click 'pop-up') menus.
  • AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed "Homelands" as "Kingsnorth".
  • AMEND - Moved the titling option from the Player Entry Configuration window to the custom label designer window. This makes HandicapMaster more consistent as the same window is now used when designing custom labels for sign in or for start sheets.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; Internally, the way the screens are displayed and function is changed in readiness for supporting running HandicapMaster on different platforms.
  • AMEND - Player Entry; When a player selects to book into a future competition that is a team competition, and they are already booked in, Player Entry no longer asks for their partners to be selected before confirming their previous booking.
  • AMEND - Start Sheet Wizard menu item 'View Scorecard Labels Report' changed to 'Scorecard Labels'.
  • AMEND - When displaying subscription or Invoice templates the description value is now displayed as a blank entry rather than the word "None".
  • AMEND - When displaying subscription or Invoice the description value is now displayed as a blank entry rather than "-".
  • AMEND - When e-mailing Start Sheet, Competition Results, KO Draw, Order Of Merit, Best of Series or Eclectic reports, past members are now excluded from the distribution list of recipients.
  • FIX - (Ref. 84121) - Subscriptions Option; In some cases when raising Subscriptions for multiple Membership Categories the wrong description was assigned to subscriptions. This fix prevents this for future subscriptions and applies a data correction to correct the description for subscriptions raised from 1st Jan 2014. This Fix is different from Defect 84060 which was similar. (Subscriptions Option only).
  • FIX - (Ref. 84122) - Subscriptions Option; It was not possible to delete a description in a subscription template. (Subscriptions Option only).
  • FIX - (Ref. 84123) - Subscriptions Option; It was not possible to delete a note recorded against a Subscription or Invoice.
  • FIX - Bookings Reports; Option to view 'History of Bookings' from Opened Competitions list did not always generate a report.
  • FIX - Custom Start sheet Labels; The "Perform a Test Print" was printing some items incorrectly.
  • FIX - Custom Start Sheet labels; When printing labels for a mixed competition, e.g. Four Ball Better Ball, both Men and Ladies tee colours will now be printed on the label instead of only the ladies tee colour.
  • FIX - Player Entry; In some circumstances, messages displayed in the 'countdown' box were too wide to display on screen.
  • FIX - Publish to CDH; The message 'The CDH has reported that ID <number> has been deleted from the national system. This ID will now be removed from the records of <Name> in HandicapMaster' could be displayed for the wrong CDH error, and number deleted in error.

HandicapMaster 8.5.1 (Update Package 801) (6 November 2014)

  • NEW - Order of Merit; Button to remove all 'Other Points' from an Order of Merit competition is added.
  • AMEND - Competition Templates; It is now possible to configure a 9 hole competition template to use CONGU 9 Hole Handicapping Allowance, but to make the competition template non-qualifying. The default is for the template to be qualifying.
  • FIX - (Ref. 84119) - Start Sheets; Unexpected error 5 ("InvalidArgument=Value of '7' is not valid for 'index'") occurred when importing bookings to a start sheet or reordering players on a start sheet and the format of the competition was either a 3 or 4 player team competition with a selection of scores to count each hole.
