• FIX - Version 9 first run; Unexpected error 5 ('Cannot find the object ... because it does not exist or you do not have permissions') could occur running version 9 for the first time when previous version used was 8.5.22 or earlier (Network editions only).

Update 9.0.7 - 10 February 2016 - Update Package 907

• NEW - Multiple Tee Competitions; A new option 'Adjust competition handicaps' is added to competition templates in the EGA editions to cater for players playing from different sets of Tees. When selected, players playing over a course with a higher Par value are awarded additional handicap strokes, for competition results purposes (EGA Handicap System, Appendix C).
• AMEND - Enter Scores; A description of which course is being played and the date are now included on the Scorecard Screen.
• AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Change 'Market Rasen & District' to 'Market Rasen'.
• AMEND - Golf Courses (Wales); Add 'Caernarvonshire & Anglesey Ladies'.
• AMEND - Handicap Status Review date; Date of handicap status review for 2016 is moved back to 1st January 2016 for customers in Ireland, following clarification from the Golfing Union of Ireland (CONGU editions; Ireland only).
• AMEND - Initial Handicap Cards; Where the suggested handicap award is above the CONGU maximum of 28 for men and 36 for ladies, you are now asked whether you would like to allocate a 'Club' Handicap. If no, the suggested handicap is reduced to 28[36]. (CONGU Editions only).
• FIX - ClubWebsite; It was not possible to select the USERS option (FILE menu) when logged in as ADMIN user because message 'You must be logged in as 'Admin' user to access this item' was incorrectly displayed.
• FIX - Manual Handicap adjustments; Incorrect error message 'Cannot make this change; handicap above maximum' could prevent an adjustment being recorded when selecting 'fixed adjustment' size.
• FIX - Player Entry Leader board; With the option to publish the leader board scores to Master Scoreboard selected and all competitions underway being configured to have their results split into divisions, player entry would freeze.
• FIX - Supplementary Scores and Initial Handicap Cards; In some circumstances, it was not possible to enter 9 hole scores for ladies due to error 'Unable to calculate 9 Hole Handicap. Missing 9 Hole Standard Scratch Score for Golf Course' being incorrectly displayed (CONGU Editions only).

Update 9.0.6 - 4 February 2016 - Update Package 906

• NEW - Distribution Lists; For 'Member' where members are added selected manually their account balance and competition fee balance (if appropriate) are displayed in the selection list if the subscription option is enabled.
• NEW - Enter Scores; A description of which Tees are used is now included on the Scorecard Screen.
• NEW - Enter Scores; Shading is now applied to holes on the scorecard screen that are not in play.
• NEW - Initial Handicap Cards; When entering these scores, the Adjusted Gross score is now displayed on screen (CONGU Editions only).
• AMEND - Golf Courses (England); Renamed 'Kirkby' to 'Kirkby Valley', 'Police Ladies' to 'Police Sport (United Kingdom) - Ladies Golf' and 'Ullesthorpe' to 'Ullesthorpe Court'. Changed CDH club ID for 'Northam Artisans'.
• AMEND - Golf Courses (Scotland); Added CDH number for 'Edenfields'.
• AMEND - Member Purse Transaction History (for all members) report is now ordered alphabetically.
• AMEND - 'Playing Handicaps List (for Competition)' report is further developed for improved readability (EGA Editions only).
• FIX - ClubWebsite; When adding a table as a new item to a page and selecting the copy option before editing any cells in the table, unexpected error 91 ('Object reference not set to an instance of an object') occurred.
• FIX - ClubWebsite; When editing a table item for a web page and right-clicking over a cell whilst the cell was being edited, two context menus could be displayed.
• FIX - ClubWebsite; When editing a table item for a web page and selecting the copy option with the selected cell or cells in the table empty, unexpected error 5 ('Value cannot be null') occurred.
• FIX - E-mail; When e-mailing results reports the report was incorrectly sent to players not in the competition.
• FIX - Enter Scores; In competitions where players without 'Competition' handicaps are entitled to play but not win prizes, players with 'Club' handicaps were being treated as holding 'Competition' handicap status, in error (CONGU Editions only).
• FIX - Initial Handicap Cards; Selecting backspace whilst entering a scorecard caused nett score and points to be displayed on screen in error (CONGU Editions only).
• FIX - Initial Handicap Cards; When entering a score with a no-return on one or more holes, a corrupted Gross Score value would be recorded in the player's record (CONGU Editions only).
• FIX - Subscription option - competition purse; When recording competition entry fees as a player booked in at the clubhouse using Player Entry it was possible for the player to go overdrawn even when no overdraft was available.
• FIX - Supplementary Scores; Exceptional Scoring Reductions for players with Disability Golf handicaps were not being applied by the system.
• FIX - Supplementary Scores; When entering an 18 hole stroke-play score with a no-return on one or more holes, a corrupted Stableford Adjustment value would be recorded in the player's record (CONGU Editions only).

Update 9.0.5 - 29 January 2015 - Update Package 905

• NEW - You may choose to display information in the lists within HandicapMaster using small icons and narrow line spacing, using a new option in FILE, OPTIONS.
• FIX - Apply Scores; Error message 'There is a problem with the Scratch Score...' could be displayed in error when applying scores (EGA Editions only).
• FIX - Bookings; When configuring or reconfiguring bookings arrangements through the buttons on the 'Bookings' tab of the 'Configure Competition' option, HandicapMaster could lose the linkage to the bookings on Master Scoreboard.
• FIX - Mixed Gender/Tees Handicapping; When applying additional strokes to player's handicap allowance in Stableford or Par competitions, where players were playing from different sets of tees and/or different genders were playing (CONGU Unified Handicapping System Appendix O), the additional handicap strokes were applied to the wrong set of players (CONGU Editions only).
• FIX - 'Playing Handicaps List (for Competition)' report did not support play from multiple sets of tees. A redesign of this report is completed (EGA Editions only).
• FIX - Start Sheets Report and Labels; Handicap displayed on reports did not cater for player selected to play from second set of Tees (EGA Editions only).
• FIX - Start Sheets Wizard; 'Choice of tee to play from' page showed handicaps that were misleading. Changed to display player’s EGA handicap instead (EGA Editions only).
• FIX - Supplementary Scores; When a No Return score of type 'No Score Recorded' was entered, the handicap record for the player was badly corrupted (CONGU Editions only).

Update 9.0.4 - 27 January 2015 - Update Package 904

• NEW - Report to display members with Other Club memberships is added.
• AMEND - You may now use the INSERT key on a number of Handicapping Record list views to add entries.
• FIX - Handicap Status; The Handicap Status Update review and 'Non-Competition Handicaps (Possible Candidates)' report was including players who had been allotted a handicap for the first time during March 2015 to February 2016 in the list of players to lose their 'competition' handicap status. It is intended for this transitionary period to the 2016 CONGU regulations that players with a first handicap during this period would remain as 'competition' status.
• FIX - Player Entry; Incorrect message to re-install software was displayed when Player Entry was run on a new PC before HandicapMaster program had been run for the first time.
• FIX - The Member's telephone numbers report was not correctly displayed.
• FIX - Unexpected Error -2147221503 (Invalid use of Null (Query -625, Column 'GENERAL_PLAY_TYPE')) occurred when undoing a closed competition.
• FIX - Unexpected error 76 ('Could not find a part of the path') occurred when running on a PC without a version 8 installation present.
• REMOVED - Letter Writer; Web links in letters are now rendered as links that can be clicked in letters that are e-mailed. Note that a web link in a paragraph will be rendered as a link on a separate line.

Update 9.0.3 - 26 January 2015 - Update Package 903

• NEW - ClubWebsite; When editing a Table item on a web page, you may now paste text from an external source such as Microsoft Excel or Word into the Table. You may also copy table contents and clear the table using new Toolbar buttons.
• NEW - Handicap Adjustment; When entering a General Play change, Continuous Handicap Review increase or Annual Review adjustment, you may now elect to enter the handicap adjustment as a fixed amount of adjustment rather than a change to a set new Handicap value (CONGU Editions only).
• NEW - Handicap Adjustment; When entering a manual handicap adjustment, such as a General Play change, the amount of adjustment is now displayed alongside the new handicap selection box.
• NEW - Letter Writer; Web links in letters are now rendered as links that can be clicked in letters that are e-mailed. Note that a web link in a paragraph will be rendered as a link on a separate line.
• NEW - Record Away Scores; If you select the competition to be 'non-qualifying' status, you may now identify the score as from either a Singles, Foursomes or Greensomes, Four-Ball Better Ball, Team or Society competition (CONGU editions only).
• NEW - Record Society Scores; In Ireland, 'relevant' Society Scores attract a General Play adjustment to player's handicaps. You may now enter Society scores and then optionally elect for HandicapMaster to raise the applicable General Play adjustment to the player's record (CONGU Editions, Ireland only).
• AMEND - CONGU annual Handicap report may now be run between October and March.
• AMEND - CONGU Handicapping; Following a change in policy by CONGU, Annual Handicap Status Update date moved to 1st March, for 2016 only. For countries other than Scotland, temporary 'Competition Handicap Status Lost' entries added for any player currently 'non-competition'. These, along with any 'Competition Handicap regained' entries will be automatically removed for 2016 when the 2016 Annual Update is run (1st March) (CONGU editions only).
• AMEND - Golf Courses; Lists brought up to date with entries on CDH services.
• AMEND - Improved 'winter' icon for database instances selection screen.
• AMEND - UNDO; Information message added explaining that 'Handicap Brought Forward' entries in player's records may not be Undone, as these are generated automatically.
• AMEND - Welcome report and CONGU Handicap Status update screens no longer displayed when running HandicapMaster for the first time against a blank database.
• FIX - Competition Results; Wrong course Par total could be recorded for Ladies qualifying competitions for second choice of Tees (CONGU Editions).
• FIX - CONGU Handicapping; There was a miscalculation of the number of qualifying scores since a player lost their competition handicap status (for prompting when the player is entitled to regain their competition status), if the player had previously lost and regained their competition status at an earlier date (CONGU Editions, Scotland only).
• FIX - Export; Unexpected error 5 ('value of '100' is not valid for 'Value') could occur.
• FIX - Handicap List report; Correction to align report with default settings for user who has not previously configured the Handicap List report.
• FIX - Handicap Records; A 1st January 'Handicap Brought Forward' entry was being added to Away members and Visitors records in error.
• FIX - Number of Scores Returned report; Unexpected error -2147221501 ('Either BOF or EOF is True, of the current record is deleted') could occur running this report.
• FIX - Player Entry; Sign In and Enter Scores; In some cases the wrong gender symbol was displayed alongside competitions.
• FIX - Player Entry; Scores for men in Category 4 could be missed from calculation of CSS estimate for Leader board (CONGU Editions).

Update 9.0.2 - 18 January 2015 - Update Package 902

• NEW - 3 and 4 player Am-am competitions; You may now elect to use 90% handicap allowance for these competitions.
• NEW - Add notification for when program update is available.
• NEW - Add pop-up context menu to 'Handicaps pending reinstatement' list.
• NEW - Add pop-up context menu to 'Members without Handicaps' list.
• NEW - CDH (England); You may now send out or receive in Supplementary Scores for your members through the CDH.
• NEW - Competition Handicaps; New menu item 'Change Competition Handicap Status' is added to player's list pop-up menus, enabling Competition Handicap status to be changed for a chosen player.

• FIX - Annual Handicap Status Update; Re-running annual update would always show 'No members handicap status changed to Non-Competition', even if one or more players should have had their handicap status set to Non-Competition.
• FIX - EGA Handicap List; Default player ordering on Handicap list was inconsistent between 'Handicap List report' and 'Configure Layout of Handicap List' when 'Configure Layout of Handicap List' not previously run.
• FIX - EGA Handicap List; The key at the bottom of the report still referred to 'inactive' handicaps, which are no longer part of the EGA Handicap System.
• FIX - EGA Handicap List; The option to exclude Away members from the Handicap List was not working.
• FIX - Player Entry; It was not clear what a player was signing into when the only current option was for a Supplementary Score. Confirmation question added for this situation.
• FIX - Player Entry; Limiting of score entry to minimum of some chosen minutes after sign-in was not being enforced when recording a Supplementary Score.
• FIX - Players listed on 'Cancel Handicap Status Lost' list were displayed in an inconsistent way with names in other lists.
• FIX - Selection list; On some occasions, when selecting an item from the pop-up window, the text in the leftmost column was truncated.
• FIX - Supplementary Scores and Initial Handicap Cards; It was possible to enter scores when the SSS of the course was unknown, and these were incorrectly processed.
• FIX - Supplementary Scores; Rule 32 penalties applied to Stableford Scores were not being recorded when applied to Supplementary Scores.
• FIX - When performing Handicap Status Update for review period January 2015 to December 2015, assume any player being awarded a first handicap returned 3 'Initial handicap cards' during 2015 (Unified Handicapping System Clause 25.3 Note 2). IHC's could not be recorded before 2016.
